Unbridled Pathways seeks collaborations and partnerships with others in alignment with our mission. We join forces with local ranches and practitioners to deliver a variety of programs including confidence building for Tweens/Teens, connection events for adults and leadership skills for organizations.

Michael Rosenthal – Treasurer
Michael enjoys a 32-year history of non-profit leadership, serving medically fragile and economically displaced communities nationally and internationally. His passion is to develop programs that improve quality of life and develop the funding to support the work.
He’s served as the Executive Director of the Arizona Hemophilia Association, the National Director of the World Federation of Hemophilia USA, and most recently was the Sr. Director of Fund Development and Philanthropy at Native American Connections in Phoenix. Michael is serving and has served on various Board of Directors including the Chicks with Picks Foundation, Whispering Hope Ranch, the Florida Bleeding Disorders Association, and Unbridled Pathways.
He is a graduate of the Arizona State University College of Business and is a native Arizonan. Having seen the State experience decades of change, he is keenly in tune with the growing disparities of service to marginalized communities..
Maxx Anderson
With over 20 years in the transportation industry including the well respected Cave Creek Limousine service, Maxx has a heart for community and supporting our local non profit organizations.
His newest endeavor is The Desert Foothills Transit System (DFTS) a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing accessible, reliable, and professional fixed-route transportation to the Cave Creek and Carefree communities. As a father of young girls, Maxx also shares Unbridled Pathways’ commitment to making a positive impact for the next generations of this community.

Leeanne Gardner
Leeanne has been committed to creating impactful, confidence-building experiences through the powerful bond between humans and horses since 2007.
Leeanne is a lifelong horsewoman and certified Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning (ESMHL) through PATH International, among many other methodologies.
Liz Covert
Liz Covert is an Arizona native who has raised four boys in the Cave Creek community. She is a Level 4 riding instructor with the Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA), a certified Level 1 Equine Experiential Education (E3A) Practitioner and a certified Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning through the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship. In 2009, she co-founded TRRFCC Horsemanship. As Executive Director, she continues to share her passion for horses and equine education. She implemented the Stallion Strides equine-based character-building program at the Horseshoe Trails Elementary School.
Liz Hendel
Liz Hendel is passionate about supporting parents as they address the complex emotional, social and spiritual challenges that arise when a child chooses to identify as transgender. Leveraging the therapeutic potential of equine-assisted encounters, Liz creates space for individuals to connect, process and cultivate self-care. She leads a parent support group and holds certification from the Professional Association of Therapeutic Riding (PATH) as an Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning (ESMHL).
Liz volunteered for our Spring Unbridled Confidence program and her experience and knowledge of creating safe spaces for horse-human connection was apparent.
Kate Shook
Kate Shook is a third-generation horsewoman who possesses a heart centered bond with horses. This bond resulted in many years of success in the show ring as a top trainer for multiple breeds and disciplines. With a BS in Psychology and over 20 years’ experience with helping people navigate life’s chapters through horse wisdom, Kate and her herd offer a safe space to take the reins to move forward for more success in business and life. Kate’s ability to convey the heart of the horse to the human is awe inspiring.
